Abbey Cocktail
A sophisticated classic from the golden age of cocktails, the Abbey combines the botanical crispness of dry gin with the brightness of fresh orange juice and aromatic bitters. A close relative to the Bronx cocktail, it serves as a refreshing apéritif.
Ingredients
- 1.5 OZ Dry Gin
- 0.5 OZ Fresh Orange Juice
- 1 DASH Orange Bitters
- 1 WHOLE Maraschino Cherry
How to Make It
- Chill a martini glass in the freezer or by filling it with ice water.
- Combine the gin, orange bitters, and fresh orange juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels frosted.
- Discard the ice from the serving glass if used.
- Fine strain the mixture into the chilled glass.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
