A delightful layered shooter that mimics the taste of a chocolate peppermint pattie. This visual spectacle combines the depth of coffee liqueur with a cool peppermint kick and a smooth, creamy finish. Best served ice-cold for a refreshing dessert-like experience.
Ingredients
- 0.75 OZ Kahlúa (Coffee Liqueur)
- 0.4 OZ Peppermint Schnapps
- 0.4 OZ Baileys Irish Cream
How to Make It
- Ensure all ingredients are thoroughly chilled before preparation.
- Pour the Kahlúa into a shot glass, filling it until it is approximately half full.
- Place an inverted spoon against the inside edge of the glass. Slowly pour the Peppermint Schnapps over the spoon. If done correctly according to density, the schnapps may settle beneath or mix slightly with the Kahlúa, filling the glass to about three-quarters.
- Clean the spoon and position it just above the liquid surface (right side up or inverted). Gently pour the Baileys Irish Cream over the spoon to float it as the top layer.
- Serve immediately and consume all at once for the full flavor effect.
