How to Make It

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 2 oz of water with the ginger root. Bring to a boil for 3 minutes.
  2. Strain the ginger liquid to remove solids and set the infused water aside.
  3. In a separate pot, create a rich syrup by combining the sugar with the remaining 4 oz of water. Heat gently until the sugar is completely dissolved, then allow to cool.
  4. In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the guava juice, lemon juice, and pineapple juice.
  5. Stir in the reserved ginger infusion and the cooled sugar syrup.
  6. Add the fresh pineapple chunks to the mixture.
  7. Refrigerate the punch until thoroughly chilled before serving over ice.
