Between the Sheets cocktail

A provocative classic cocktail hailing from the Prohibition era, the Between the Sheets is often described as a Sidecar with the addition of rum. It offers a sophisticated balance of brandy and light rum with the tartness of lemon and the sweetness of orange liqueur.

Ingredients

How to Make It

  1. Chill a coupe glass in the freezer or by filling it with ice water.
  2. Add the brandy, light rum, triple sec, and fresh lemon juice into a cocktail shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with fresh ice cubes.
  4. Shake vigorously for about 10 to 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels frosted.
  5. Discard the ice from the coupe glass if used.
  6. Double strain the mixture into the chilled glass.
  7. Optionally garnish with a flamed lemon peel.
