Between the Sheets
A provocative classic cocktail hailing from the Prohibition era, the Between the Sheets is often described as a Sidecar with the addition of rum. It offers a sophisticated balance of brandy and light rum with the tartness of lemon and the sweetness of orange liqueur.
Ingredients
- 1 OZ Brandy
- 1 OZ Light Rum
- 1 OZ Triple Sec
- 1 OZ Fresh Lemon Juice
How to Make It
- Chill a coupe glass in the freezer or by filling it with ice water.
- Add the brandy, light rum, triple sec, and fresh lemon juice into a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with fresh ice cubes.
- Shake vigorously for about 10 to 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels frosted.
- Discard the ice from the coupe glass if used.
- Double strain the mixture into the chilled glass.
- Optionally garnish with a flamed lemon peel.
