Dirty Nipple
A cheeky and visually distinct layered shooter that combines the deep richness of coffee liqueur with the intense herbal notes of Sambuca, topped with a smooth layer of Irish cream. The result is a complex tasting experience that moves from creamy to spicy to sweet.
What it tastes like
This shot leads with a pungent aroma of black licorice and roasted coffee. The palate is heavy and syrupy, moving from sweet coffee to sharp anise before finishing with a thick coating of cream. Its texture is notably dense and viscous throughout.

Substitutions
- KahlúaTia Maria — Tia Maria offers a drier coffee profile with more prominent vanilla notes than Kahlúa.
- SambucaWhite Crème de Menthe — Swapping sambuca for mint liqueur replaces the licorice flavor with a sharp, cooling sensation.
- Baileys Irish CreamRumChata — RumChata introduces cinnamon and rice milk flavors while maintaining the necessary creamy texture.
- SambucaAnisette — Anisette provides a similar licorice flavor but typically has a lower alcohol content and higher sugar levels.
Variations
Black Nipple
Replace the Baileys with a dark overproof rum to increase the alcohol heat and add a molasses-driven finish.
Nutty Nipple
Use Frangelico instead of Kahlúa to shift the base from coffee to toasted hazelnut.
