Gin Fizz
A refreshing and timeless classic cocktail that dates back to the mid-19th century. This effervescent drink perfectly balances the botanical notes of gin with tart lemon and sweet sugar, lengthened with sparkling soda water for a light, frothy finish.
Ingredients
- 2 OZ Gin
- 0.75 OZ Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 TSP Powdered Sugar
- 3 OZ Carbonated Water
How to Make It
- Pour the gin, fresh lemon juice, and powdered sugar into a cocktail shaker.
- Add a generous amount of ice cubes to the shaker.
- Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds to chill the mixture and dissolve the sugar.
- Strain the liquid into a chilled Highball glass (with or without fresh ice, per preference).
- Top slowly with carbonated water to create a fizz.
- Stir gently to combine ingredients without flattening the carbonation.
