Homemade Coffee Liqueur

Homemade Coffee Liqueur cocktail

A rich, sweet, and robust homemade liqueur inspired by Kahlua. This recipe combines instant coffee, vanilla, and vodka with a thick syrup base to create a versatile spirit perfect for White Russians or sipping over ice. For optimal depth of flavor, the mixture is aged for several weeks.

Ingredients

How to Make It

  1. Divide the 3 cups of boiling water: use 2 cups for the sugar mixture and reserve 1 cup for the coffee.
  2. Dissolve the sugar in 2 cups of boiling water, then stir in the corn syrup until fully incorporated.
  3. Dissolve the instant coffee granules in the remaining 1 cup of boiling water.
  4. Pour both the syrup mixture and the coffee mixture into a one-gallon jug.
  5. Allow the contents of the jug to cool completely to room temperature.
  6. Once cold, add the vodka and vanilla extract to the jug.
  7. Seal the jug and store in a cool, dark place.
  8. Allow the mixture to mature for 4 to 5 weeks for the best flavor before serving.
