Martinez
Often cited as the direct precursor to the modern Martini, this sophisticated cocktail offers a complex balance between a Manhattan and a Martini. It features a botanical base of gin and vermouth, accented by orange liqueur and bitters.
Ingredients
- 1 OZ Gin
- 1 OZ Dry Vermouth
- 0.25 TSP Triple Sec
- 1 DASH Orange Bitters
- 1 WHOLE Maraschino Cherry
How to Make It
- Fill a mixing glass with ice cubes.
- Pour in the gin, dry vermouth, triple sec, and orange bitters.
- Stir the mixture gently for approximately 30 seconds to chill and dilute.
- Strain the liquid into a chilled coupe glass.
- Garnish by dropping a whole cherry into the glass.
