Mint Julep
A refreshing and historic Southern classic synonymous with the Kentucky Derby. This cocktail combines the warmth of bourbon with the cooling properties of fresh mint and crushed ice, served traditionally in a frosted glass.
Ingredients
- 4 ML Fresh Mint
- 2.5 OZ Bourbon
- 1 TSP Powdered Sugar
- 2 TSP Water
How to Make It
- In a Collins glass, gently muddle the fresh mint, powdered sugar, and water together to release the mint oils.
- Fill the glass to the brim with cracked or crushed ice.
- Pour the bourbon over the ice.
- Stir rapidly with a bar spoon until the outside of the glass becomes well frosted.
- Garnish with a generous fresh mint sprig.
