A classic nautical-themed pousse-café that visually mimics the navigation lights of a ship. This layered drink features dense red grenadine at the bottom representing 'Port' and vibrant green crème de menthe floating on top representing 'Starboard', creating a sweet, minty digestif.

How to Make It

  1. Pour the grenadine into a clean pousse-café glass to form the red bottom layer.
  2. Position the back of a bar spoon slightly above the surface of the grenadine, resting the tip against the inside of the glass.
  3. Slowly and carefully pour the green crème de menthe over the back of the spoon to float it on top of the grenadine.
  4. Ensure the layers remain distinct and serve immediately without stirring.
