Port And Starboard
A classic nautical-themed pousse-café that visually mimics the navigation lights of a ship. This layered drink features dense red grenadine at the bottom representing 'Port' and vibrant green crème de menthe floating on top representing 'Starboard', creating a sweet, minty digestif.
Ingredients
- 1 TBSP Grenadine
- 0.5 OZ Green Crème de Menthe
How to Make It
- Pour the grenadine into a clean pousse-café glass to form the red bottom layer.
- Position the back of a bar spoon slightly above the surface of the grenadine, resting the tip against the inside of the glass.
- Slowly and carefully pour the green crème de menthe over the back of the spoon to float it on top of the grenadine.
- Ensure the layers remain distinct and serve immediately without stirring.
