Port Wine Flip
A rich, dessert-style cocktail that dates back to the colonial era. This luscious drink combines the sweetness of Ruby Port with the velvety texture of a whole egg and cream, finished with a dusting of aromatic nutmeg.
Ingredients
- 1.5 OZ Port Wine
- 2 TSP Light Cream
- 1 TSP Powdered Sugar
- 1 WHOLE Egg
- 1 ML Freshly Grated Nutmeg
How to Make It
- Add the port, light cream, powdered sugar, and whole egg into a cocktail shaker.
- Perform a dry shake (shake vigorously without ice) for about 10 seconds to emulsify the egg.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well-chilled and frothy.
- Strain carefully into a chilled sour glass.
- Garnish by sprinkling freshly grated nutmeg over the foam.
