Spanish Chocolate
A decadent and traditional Spanish-style hot chocolate that distinguishes itself with a rich, custard-like texture. By incorporating egg yolks and cooking gently, this drink achieves a velvety thickness, perfectly spiced with a hint of cinnamon.
Ingredients
- 2 ML Milk
- 2 OZ Sweet Chocolate
- 0.5 TSP Cinnamon
- 2 WHOLE Egg Yolk (Beaten)
How to Make It
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, sweet chocolate, and cinnamon.
- Place over low heat and stir continuously until the chocolate has fully dissolved into the milk.
- Add the beaten egg yolks to the mixture.
- Continue to beat or whisk the mixture over low heat until it thickens significantly.
- Ensure the mixture does not boil to prevent the eggs from curdling.
- Pour into a coffee mug and serve warm.
