How to Make It

  1. Chill a martini glass in the freezer or by filling it with ice water.
  2. In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine the gin, dry vermouth, anisette, and bitters.
  3. Stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
  4. Strain the liquid into the prepared chilled glass.
  5. Express the oils from the orange peel over the surface of the drink, then drop the twist into the glass as a garnish.
